Applications of BBa_K5213000
This part was intended to be used as a reactive-oxygen species (ROS) generator and combined within our experiment with the constitutive low level expressing Prrsc promoter BBa_K5213003. The generated ROS, especially H2O2 would serve as substrate for the enzyme carried on the plasmid, hence should not rise to toxic levels within the cell.

The amplification and integration of the part within our construct was successful. Sequencing however showed indels within the coding sequence and/or the promoter tested with this part in all tested clones and implemented attempt on correcting them via site-directed mutagenesis did not succeed, hence the part could not be characterized/tested for activity. |
